OLD TYME FAIR IS ONLY 5 MONTHS AWAY!

Our Olde Tyme Fair…can you believe it?! This is just a friendly reminder that we’re hoping everyone is working on something for the October Fair day of fun and fellowship.

So many things need to get done.

--PLANTS. This is a great time to plant houseplants in nice pots.  Also dried arrangements, Japanese lanterns, money plants, etc.

--ANTIQUE ITEMS See Karen Deming. We‘ll make sure they go to her booth.

--SEWING BOOTH. We need all kinds of help from people who knit and sew. Baby sweaters go well. Fancy aprons (for moms & daughters), kitchen towels, quilts, wall hangings, etc. Anything in the line of sewing creations.

--HOLIDAY ITEMS….anything for Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving such as wreaths… (Hopefully handmade.)

--WHITE ELEPHANT Now’s the time to clean out your jewelry box because jewelry sells so well at our Fair. Do you have any no-longer-needed earrings? necklaces? pins? beads? Or nice dishes? vases? Something you received as a gift, but can’t use?

--BOOKS People are always looking for a good paperback or hardcover book—they’ve not yet read …especially children’s books. But we’re not able to resell encyclopedias, reference books or magazines.

--DOLL BOOTH. Clothes that fit the American doll and also some Barbies!  We’re working on a new idea for this booth and need someone to head it up. (We do have a special lady to work with you on this booth…) Call Mary Beardsley, 252-0778.

--PANTRY BOOTH needs all kinds of jams, jellies, relishes, pickles, home-canned goods… We’re also in need of garden produce—beets, squash, pumpkins, any Fall garden veggie.  (These will be on the Pantry Booth…so if you don’t knit, sew, etc., why not grow?!)

--PET BOOTH. This can use any of your pet supplies, toys, sweaters, etc.

--WREATH BOOTH. We’re in need of hydrangeas. Patti Lewis will make our wreaths, so let her know if you can supply her with some materials.

BAKED GOODS  ….We always need lots of these for Fair Day. And we need many helping hands for our chicken Bar B Q, kitchen, and in the dining room.

--OUR FAMOUS FLEA MARKET!!! Bob Moore is already working getting organized to start collecting items for this.

DO YOU HAVE any other ideas or items which might be helpful for our huge Olde Tyme Fair? Please let us know so we can work on your suggestion for this traditional fundraiser.

                                                Thanks,

OT Fair Committee: Bill & Shirley Stoelzel, Marilyn Coleman, Jo Bucien, Patti Lewis , Carolyn Crandall, Bev Parker, Bob Moore, Larry Pritchard and (of course) “Mary B” (Beardsley), chairwoman
