Red Bird Mission was founded in 1921 on the Red Bird River in Bell County, Kentucky. Since then and to date, the Red Bird Missionary Conference has devoted itself to improving the conditions of its constituents, under the banner of, " A Witness For Christ In The Heart of Appalachia." Red Bird Mission depends on others for its support and continued success. Churches can help support Red Bird Mission by contributing money, Campbell food labels, and sending work teams. A work team spends a week on site and is a week of structured activities, working on repairing homes, campus repairs/construction, sight-seeing, evening tours, fellowship and good times.
The Work Camp Program is but one way Red Bird Mission helps the community. Also under the banner of Red Bird Mission, are: an accredited K-12 school system, a dental clinic, a medical clinic, a used clothing/furniture outlet, a crafts store, Early Childhood Development, Home Health Agency, Pharmacy, Meals on Wheels, Low Income Senior Citizens Housing, Senior Center, Family Ministries, just to name a few of its programs & outreach. Since most of its employees are residents of the area, Red Bird helps to bring needed income into families in a area where 40% are below the poverty level.
Labels - We’re bringing new attention to an old project – collecting Campbell’s labels to be redeemed for educational materials for
the United Methodist Church’s Redbird Mission. YOU CAN HELP our church help others with this in two ways:
Bring labels: Take a list of products
from the poster in the church entrance.
Clip labels and return them.
Package labels: Trim, sort by type,
count in 100’s, package for return
