Rev. Richelle Duchano started her ministry here at Auburn UMC on July 1, 2008.  Previously she had served Oswego: Trinity and Martville UMC's for three years.  Pastor Richelle was ordained an Elder in the North Central NY Annual Conference in 2008.  She attended seminary at The Methodist Theological School in Ohio where she recieved her Masters of Divinity in 2005. Before attending seminary she attended St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY.  She graduated in 2001 with a B.S.  She is also is a graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High School. 

WANTED: musicians for Praise Band

Yes, our new Praise Band director Amy DeLeo Bellamy (R) has the same name as our longtime member, Mrs. Rick (Amy) Bellamy (L). “I’m Amy Bellamy--your Amy’s sister-in-law. She is my husband’s brother’s wife.”(Get it?)
Now that you understand about their names, here’s the background on Amy D. Bellamy. She earned her Master’s in Vocal Performance from SUNY Binghamton. And she’s restarting Dave Hamilton’s contemporary music Praise Band here.
“Our main focus of this group is to worship and praise our great Lord and Savior and to lead our Congregation in worship,” she explains. “We’ll be leading music during the contemporary services. I’m looking for those people (male or female, youth or adult) who feel led by the Lord to be part of this musical worship team. “
Our musical Praise team will perform here on Nov. 12; after that they’ll be part of our Services on the third Sunday of each month.  The Praise band will present band-like sounds. “We’ll hopefully sound more like what you hear on Christian Radio Family Life Network 93.9,” she said. “We hope to add more contemporary music—songs from Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche and others.” Can you join with Mary Kay Worth, Claudene and Mikala Sanford on our musical Praise Team?”  We’re in need of singers and instrumentalists who are gifted by the Lord in the area of music.
