What to expect on your first visit

We are so glad that you are interested in learning more about Auburn UMC. If you choose to visit the church here are a few things that may be helpful: Because of Covid-19 Social distancing requirements, the items highlighted in red do not apply. But will resume when allowed.

Sunday School for ALL AGES is at 9:00 am The children/youth/teachers all gather upstairs in the Children's Chapel for a few minutes of singing and prayer and then they break up into their age-appropriate Sunday school classes! Adults are welcome to go straight to their class as well. The coffee hour begins as well in the Fellowship Hall starting at 9 am.

Worship is at 10:00 am (Sunday after Labor Day-June).  Please be comfortable, come as you are. Some people choose to get "dressed up" and other sport a more casual style. Whatever you are comfortable wearing will be fine. Once again, come as you are!

NOTE: Worship this year is at 9 am for the Summer months. July - through the end of September.  We worship outside (unless it is raining) then we will move into the Sanctuary with social distancing. Please  bring a comfy camp chair and a blanket for the kids, chairs will not be provided because of Covid-19.

We are a diverse congregation of all ages.  Safe Sanctuary trained volunteers take care of your precious little ones each Sunday morning. You can drop you, child, off for the whole service or feel free to keep them in worship with you! We are a child-friendly church. If you have a fussy child you can use one of the rockers in the back of the sanctuary. We also have the service live-streamed into the Lounge room (with many chairs) and the Nursery if you wish to step out for a bit.

Parking is located behind the church on Fitch Ave.   Enter the first driveway to drop off at the door, or park in the large driveway to walk in. There are also special designated Handicapped parking spots available. There are two entrances (one near the fellowship hall and stairs to our classrooms upstairs, and one near the sanctuary).

Worship is an hour-long, Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st of every month and on special occasions. All are welcome at the Table.  Communion is delivered to those in the Nursery.  You are more than welcome to pick up your child and bring them back to the sanctuary to receive communion together. We also offer a gluten-free bread alternative.

At the moment we are refraining from singing, however, there is music provided in the service by our musicians at a safe distance.

The order of worship is projected on screens in the Sanctuary for easy access.

Coffee hour and a time of fellowship follow the worship service. All are welcome! Please bring your own beverage while attending our Summer garden service.

We hope this information has been helpful and we hope to see you soon! Please don't hesitate to call the church office or email us if you have any questions at all!
